Dub techno fans take note: Detroit producer Luke Hess will release his debut full-length on Echocord later this year.
Hess began his career on Berettamusic and Omar-S's FXHE, but the producer spent a number of years before that behind the decks, cultivating a sound rooted in his love of detailed dub techno. (His latest release for Modelisme is aptly called "Dub for Love.") That obsession continues over the course of the nine tracks that make up Light in the Dark, his effort for Danish label Echocord. It will be his first solo outing on the label and is set to come out in May.
